will be hostile senators who have questions about benghazi? >> i think if he chooses to go that direction, it's -- he has that right. now look, susan rice went through the talks last week. some went well, some didn't go that well. but i think that overall, if it's the president's -- it is his option to do it. i think right now, you know, it looks like he probably will. but i don't think he, my sense is that -- she hasn't done anything yet that is going to disqualify her. senator lieberman said that. you have most of the senate democrats who are rallying behind her. i think if she was put up, i think she would be confirmed. >> shannon: matt, doug mentioned the meetings with the senators this week. some say it's the early making the rounds and trying to make nice as if she is going to be the nominee for secretary of state. some of those meetings that doug mentioned did not go well. there were those that came out and said they were more concerned than they were before the meeting with her. what uphill battle do you think she would face? >> large one. there is a happy senior senator from massachu
